The Summit will be co-located with the Mechanical Engineering Education Leadership Summit and the ASME Industry Advisory Board meeting at the Westin Tampa Harbour Island in Tampa Bay, Fla.This unique event will focus on the current and near-term, public-private, industry/university/government research and workforce development partnership opportunities that have been taking hold in the array of the invited seven NNMI Institutes the American Institute for Manufacturing Integrated Photonics (AIM Photonics) , America Makes, the Digital Manufacturing and Design Innovation Institute (DMDII), the Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing Innovation (IACMI), Lightweight Innovations for Tomorrow (LIFT), the Flexible Hybrid Electronics Manufacturing Institute (Nextflex), and PowerAmerica.Some highlights of the Summit will include discussions of institute missions, technologies, memberships, and operations a special showcase highlighting specific examples of actual ongoing projects and current proposals and a networking reception designed to encourage further one-on-one communication between institute leaders and Summit participants.Small and medium companies that are interested in learning more about government and private sector funding opportunities in manufacturing are especially encouraged attend the forum to engage with the Institutes as well as take part in the showcase. geschftliches miteinander professionals, engineers, inventors, researcher and economic development professiona ls who would like to learn more about the NNMI Institutes are also invited to register and participate in this one-of-a-kind event devoted to advanced manufacturing issues.Registration for the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Summit is $95 for ASME members, $145 for non-members.
